COVID-19 Update - Schools and Library Now Closing

Message from the Mayor

Since my last update two hours ago, the County of Bergen has announced that all public schools in Bergen County will be closed as of 3:00 pm on Friday (tomorrow). In addition, the Franklin Lakes Public Library will also close as of 3:00 pm on Friday.

To recap, local closings, cancellations and postponements to date are as follows:
Franklin Lakes Elementary Schools (K-8), Ramapo High School and Indian Hills High School will be closed effective Friday, March 13, at 3:00 pm, until further notice;

The Franklin Lakes Public Library will be closed effective Friday, March 13, at 3:00 pm, until further notice;

All Franklin Lakes Recreation games, practices and events are immediately canceled until further notice, including away games;

All Franklin Lakes ballfields are closed until further notice for any group activity;

The Mayors Wellness Campaign Goals for Hope soccer tournament scheduled for March 22 is postponed to August 22;

The annual Egg Hunt is cancelled; and

All meetings scheduled for the Franklin Lakes Ambulance Corps building, the Senior Center at the Bender Court Firehouse and the Emergency Management building, except meetings of emergency response personnel, are canceled, until further notice.
